A truly rare gilded icon wood plaque depicting a rendition of Giovanni Bellini's "Sacra Conversazione" (holy conversation). The artwork features the Madonna holding the child Jesus, flanked by Saint Catherine and Mary Magdalene with a gold flake background.
Wood plaque is in spectacular preloved condition, with slight signs of surface wear however the integrity of the art still remains. This piece has an enormous amount of character, and we've been unable to find another design exactly like it! The back has a good amount of surface wear, and it appears the claw hanger was added at some point with the use of thumbtacks.
